Salentino Italian Ristorante, located at 15420 S. Route 59 in Plainfield, has opened its doors for business.

Chef/Owner, Gaetano Turi, has been creating traditional Italian meals for guests at Barolo Ristorante in Joliet for almost two decades. His dream has broadened with this new, creative endeavor. His ambition has been to create a comfortable family atmosphere with menu items and prices to encourage dining out in the current economic condition.

Salentino projects an Old World Italian ambience with sumptuous aromas wafting into the bistro type dining room from the Cucina. The restaurant contains an opulent bar with the same reflective Italian warmth and ample searing for guests. Casual and comfortable dress is welcome and don’t forget to bring your appetite. Portions are typically generous Italian sized! Open for lunch Monday through Friday, and dinner Monday through Saturday. Salentino host private events on Sunday and offers customized catering for off-site parties.
